Ozark Cabin Getaways
Find Your Cabin – Find Your Mountain
There is nothing like the get-away you find by staying in a cabin. You can find many excellent vacation cabin properties out there, but there is nothing quite like an authentic log cabin. You have to check out this property in the Ozark Mountains if you want the authentic cabin experience – Tall Pines Inn is just one of those properties.
Ready for a good time? Here we go!
Quite frankly I never gave a second thought to vacationing in the Ozarks, much less lodging in an “old” 1940s log cabin. There are many great vacations to be found in the Country. Then my husband and I bought Tall Pines Inn! Wow, was I about to have an attitude adjustment! I want to share with you the magic I have discovered. Yes, we made our first visit to this mystical area, and we were sold. Trust me, everyone you meet who visits Eureka Springs, AR says the same thing! Oh, yeah, the locals would like to keep, Eureka Springs – the best-kept secret – “a secret”! However, given the booming tourism to the area, the secret is definitely out!
Just think of the memories you will create visiting the Ozarks, and most important, staying with us at Tall Pines Inn, an authentic log cabin resort. Tall Pines Inn is located in the historic village of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Let me tell you all about it.
Eureka Springs has been a destination location since it was established in the late 1800’s and is home to leading tourist attractions and draws people from major nearby cities including Tulsa, Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis, Little Rock, Ft. Worth, and Dallas.
Downtown Eureka Springs, AR – Serious Fun!

The trolly stops several times daily at Tall Pines Inn, however, for the energetic, feel free to walk downtown and leave your car behind! Tall Pines Inn sits on a comfortable shy 5-acre property in a grove of tall pine trees that provide shade and privacy. It feels truly stately!
Must See Attractions
Just a few of the fantastic attractions include the most haunted hotel in the US, Crescent Hotel, Thorncrown Chapel, Christ of the Ozarks, and Passion Play, Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, home of Wal-Mart, Turpentine Creek Big Cat Refuge, Intrigue Theater and more that can be found at the website below….
Crystal Bridges – Beautiful at night
Eureka Springs is a booming small community. There is a local manager at the convenience store in Eureka Springs, who goes by the name Heavy because he is “heavy” with energy. When you talk about the energy around Eureka Springs, you are not talking about the kind that comes from caffeine. There is a natural energy that swirls around the entire area, which is responsible for the supernatural experiences that some say happen at places like the Crescent Hotel. At one time the water in the springs in the area was said to have healing power.
Tall Pines Inn sits on the very edge of Eureka Springs in the middle of Carroll County. It includes 14 cabins with 21 units. Tall Pines Inn has various lodging accommodations from large cabin suites with double person Jacuzzi tubs and kitchenettes.
Seriously, your Sweetie would be so impressed when you open the cabin door to this:

Beautiful heated outdoor pool
This pool is genuinely one of the most beautiful heated pools in Eureka Springs. As a guest, there is nothing better than coming back to your lodging and slipping into this perfect temperature, clean, soothing swimming pool – ahhhh! Nothing feels quite so refreshing. Even if you aren't one to go for a splash, bring a refreshment down and enjoy sitting by the pool – just keep it in plastic!
TIP: Rent the Loft Amoire Suite, and you'll have an excellent view of the swimming pool from your bed. Not only is this very romantic, but it's a lot of fun to run down for a quick dip and back up to your room. How cool is that? One of my favorite suites for sure!
The most distinctive feature of Tall Pines Inn are the cabins and lodges that were constructed in 1947. These cabins come equipped with King, Queen or two Double beds. At Tall Pines Inn, you can also find several duplex units that have an adjoining door, perfect for vacationing families. The largest lodge cabin, “Family Place,” is another unit that is great for vacationing families and will sleep up to 6 and has a full kitchen and fireplace.
History of Tall Pines Inn
Philip and Alice Nordquist, and young daughter Edna, originally from Chicago, IL moved to the area and built Tall Pines Motor Inn in 1947. They built the first six log cabins, with their owners quarters constructed across from the six cabins. The pine log home construction occurred by saddle-notched corners, chinked with concrete and placed upon a concrete foundation. The original residence house today operates as three rental units. All structures are in operation today. (From the Tall Pines Inn website)

It's All About Relaxation
Today, Tall Pines Inn is about relaxation. Sit out on your private porch and sip morning coffee while watching the birds enjoy the mountain tall pine trees. Enjoy all the community and surrounding area has to offer during the day, and relax among the pines in the evening. The reason I recommend these old log cabins, is that the sturdy logs provide a peaceful retreat. They are comfortable and quiet, and I love their natural glossy beauty. At Tall Pines Inn, each unit has a private porch and assigned parking area by the unit. There are fire pits and hammocks scattered around the property for you to take advantage of during the day. There is no reason to go anywhere.
Private relaxing porches found with every suite
